I think that this line is meant to tell Jane not to assume that he knows Lisbon as well as he thinks, for example, he still doesn’t know what she used to play in school. Anyway, that’s not really what I’m getting at, think about it, there has been all these signs, maybe not too noticable but there have been a lot! Like the little sideway glances when he’s saying something, the small touches on eachother’s hands, the teasing has got far worse (usually said that you tease some one when you like them) she’s let her self go in front of him, she would never fall asleep so deep as to start talking in her sleep.

To all those that think that Jane hasn’t shown anything towards Lisbon. You’re mistaken. He also gives her little looks. eg -  when she was interviewing the teacher lady he slipped her a glance and then followed it with a grin, the fact that he hid her keys in the box expecting her to ask him to open it, the fact that he placed her napkin on her lap, the fact that there was a rose on the table, there are all these little hints and its beautiful! I just love that the writers and directors are slipping these little things in, I mean she got him the cheese plate! Its so beautiful! I don’t want to wait so long for the next time but frankly, if I have to wait this long to see their characters blossom into what their relationship will be, I can do it. And so can the rest of us!!

I love this show so much, its honestly beautiful and I just want to hug you all!!!
